Everybody must try their hand at pulled Pork, its easy to do at home, but you will need a great spice rub to achieve the best results.
This spice rub is the one I perfected over the years in my cafe TKsnax it will give you the tastiest pork you can imagine.
Pork Spice Rub
Make yourself some great spiced Pulled Pork
- 2 cups Smoked Paprika
- 1.5 cups Brown sugar
- 1 cup Garlic Powder
- 1 cup Onion Powder
- .75 cup Oregano
- .75 cup salt
- 1 cup Ground Cumin
- .5 cup Ground Black Pepper
- .5 cup Ancho Chili Powder
Put all ingredients into a large plastic cotainer, I used old ice cream tub for this shut lid and give a good shake to mix up well. this recipe makes around 120 tablespoons and will keep in an airtight container for about six months.
I have used this rub recipe in all my pulled Pork dishes. I have perefected it over the years and I am very happy with the results.
For say per kilo of meat use 2 tablespoons of the rub.
Rub in well and rest for 2 hours for meat to absorb it, then either cook overnight in a slow cooker on low, or in the oven for 6 to 8 hours on180 degrees
