Easy Ginger Tray Cake

Just made this and it did taste good super easy to make, here’s how


  • 200 grms Flour All purpose
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 200 Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger Powder
  • tsp Salt
  • 60 mls Veg Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Golden Syrup
  • 1 large Egg beaten
  • 240 ml Hot Water

Pre Heat Oven to 190 degs.

Add all dry ingredients to a mixing bowl, in a separate bowl mix up the wet, add the wet to the dry and with a spatula mix it up well till smooth, the batter will be quite wet (don’t panic) it works.

Get a 11×7 inch cake tray grease with some oil pour in the batter, pop in the oven for around 35 mins till top is brown and bouncy. take out and cool.

For an extra bit of flavour add 60 grams crystallised Ginger to the batter, I couldn’t find that in Belize so I used grated Ginger instead.
